Maximus and Darna

One day I just had nothing to do. I picked up a pencil and thought there were still some blank pages in my sketchbook. I am of course inspired by the Ultimate Filipino graphic novelist Mars Ravelo, so I thought I would draw Darna.
Maximus on the other hand is my very personal creation. One of my oldest creatios originally inspired by Silver Surfer. His character is much much more complicated than I though one could go. He has the ability to create, shape and manipulate all forms of cosmic forces and energies. This power also allows him to affect matter to the molecular or sub-atomic level.

Who doesn’t know Darna? Well, unless one lives under a rock, there is a chance. She is like the Wonderwoman of the Philippines. In one of my desperate and lonely moments [chos] I attempted to draw her. The guy beside her is not Captain Barbell [fuede vah?]. He is my very own Maximus – the leader of the 500 billion Atherian hordes. He has the absolute ability to create, shape and manipulate all forms of cosmic forces and energies which also allows him to affect matter [nose bleed?]. He was exiled to Earth by the Atherian emperor. On earth his powers have been very unstable. He unconsciously shuts down machines, turn machines on, make machines explode, deform people, etc. that is why he has to stay away from the madlang people. He is at the process of controlling his powers. Good luck to him.
